Stretching Borders

Last Thursday, our theme of the night was “Stretching Borders” and it was definitely on point. Stretching beyond where you think you can go is how you push into new territory, and it’s something that we definitely accomplished. We had 15 of our active members joined by ten guests! Half of our guests were first timers to Toastmasters and the other half were returning to visit us again. The energy of the group powered a first time accomplishment for our club - two weeks in a row we had a full docket of four prepared speeches! Our members are definitely stretching their borders. Thanks to our club president, Dee Gulati, we celebrated the accomplishment with pizza!

I’d also like to express congratulations to Aqeeb, a new member who stepped up as grammarian choosing “fabulous” as the word of the day and set an aggressive target of 15 uses of the word. The club cleared twenty!

A huge thank you goes out to all of our members and guests, your energy is always inspiring.
